GCUBED has signed an agreement with Canadian company Hyperspectral Intelligence as the agent in the Asia-Pacific region!
I enjoy excellent spectra and making easy solutions for mineral exploration and understanding mineral systems, so does Hyperspectral Intelligence who have made one of their hyperspectral hand scanners (HHS) available for hire through GCubed.

It is with much gratitude I would like to acknowledge the NVCL for their generous contribution to make this file open and available to all readers.
Check out my latest publication in The Australian Journal of Earth Sciences – a way to use TIR spectra to log grain size more rapidly and accurately. It’s not new, just a better application of the knowledge – I aimed to present several processing methods that make using scalars easy and applicable for logging geologists using hyperspectral data!

Lavas – in spectral data
Pyroxenes exhibit a strong spectral response in the TIR region, making it significantly easier to map these layers in drill cores using spectral mineralogy. Cumulates to vesicular basalt, and pillows can all be distinguished in the spectra and plotted accurately aiding logging and identification of marker horizons.

Epithermal Environments – A spectral approach
Epithermal environments have fascinating mineralogy, easily identified by non-destructive infrared analysis. This project aims to examine sets of drill cores from around Australia, and examine the mineralogy to determine the prospectivity of the field. In initial stages – stay tuned for updates.
